Congratulations Brett!

Doing some clean up at my new place and came across this site to see your pics of your wedding. Couldn’t be happier for the great leader of the Mountains and Monasteries trip I so enjoyed in 2005.
I wish you and your spouse great happiness in a world that is not all wild.
I have retired to the Kitsap Peninsula west of Seattle for the time being, though the cold and wet seasons I have travelled in S. E. Asia and India plus Sri Lanka the last two years.

Congratulations… the pictures are beautiful!! What a gorgeous setting. I only have one complaint (seems like I am frequently commenting on technical issues!) The first 3 pictures on the right hand side after your written portion are halfway covered by your “categories/recent posts” section so I can’t actually see the “painting of the eye” or who Rhona is kissing… aside from that everything looks great & I appreciate you not making us wait four months to get a sneak peek at the festivities.

We’ve just come back from Stavanger yesterday - took the boat along Lyesfjord to Pulpit Rock too - although we were on a whistle stop trip so just looked up from the water. Not sure I would have had the nerve to stand on the top!!

Immediately recognized your photo of Bergen as I had just seen essentially the same shot in the National Geographic Travel mag. Would have expected you to have a shot thru a 17th century port hole or such. Norway looks great - almost like Montana - I said ‘almost’.

Oh man, Brett, how I envy you! Though I’ve seen most of where you been, I crave to go back there! At the moment I’m thinking about doing a few weeks of trekking in the Andes, with short breaks in some of the beautiful towns in Peru and Bolivia!

But well, maybe it will be Tansania and Kili first. Depends on a friend of mine.

Where are you travelling at the moment? Still doing WHATEVER you want to do?

Peru. It sounds amazing. The floating islands are fascinating…do they float around or are they anchored?

It sounds like the Machu Pichu experience has changed alot, but I suppose that’s the case everywhere…the planet is getting smaller and smaller. And for the sandwich throwers…I guess there’s dumb-dumb’s everywhere.

Great to see that you are exploring South America. Of course it’s on my “list” too and I’ve always been very curious to explore the salt flats…it looks amazing! Did you get to spend the night on the flats? I’m curious as to how easy/difficult it would be to be there during low light hours for photographing…it seems I always see “noon” pictures from there.

Hey Bubba: Guess I’ve missed a few of your updates. Have caught up and admire the images you taken. Some really nice shots. By the time you get this, you’re probably on your way to the other side of the world. Have a good trip. Neighbors down the street have just returned from Africa - saw the gorillas you mention. They attempted to climb Kili a couple years ago but didn’t make it. I think they are headed back up there next year too. They recently went to Alaska (travel all the time) and saw griz. They are big photographers. Flew in a bush plane that left them for a couple days. He loved. She’s not all that convinced. He’s ready to buy a house up there. She’s not all that convinced …

Just a small comment, as always I enjoy reading about your adventures, but now they spread across more than the entire screen so I am having to use my mouse constantly to move back and forth. Is there an adjustment I can make to have all the writing fit on the screen?? (You know, I’m a bit lazy!!)
